I’m already enrolled. Who do I call for help?
Call the agent who enrolled you. They are your agent of record, they are paid to look after your plan, and they are the only agent who can see it. An office whose agent did not enroll you cannot access your plan, even if it has a similar name.
Why offices can’t help each other’s clients
Every office in this directory is an independent business, even when two offices share a similar name. An agent can only see and service the plans they sold. If you walk into an office whose agent didn’t enroll you, they have no access to your plan, can’t make changes for you, and shouldn’t give advice on coverage they can’t see. That isn’t unfriendliness. It is how Medicare agent relationships work.
What your own agent can do
- Check whether a doctor, hospital or pharmacy is in your plan’s network.
- Explain a bill, a denial, or a letter from your plan.
- Review your coverage each fall and switch plans if something better fits.
- Help with claims questions and ID card replacements.
Not sure who your agent is?
- Check your enrollment paperwork. The agent’s name and phone number are on the application or the confirmation you received.
- Call your plan’s member services line. The number is on your plan ID card. Ask who your agent of record is.
- Can’t reach them? Call Benefits Life at 303-381-2222. We can look up which agent is on your plan and pass along a message.
Want a local agent instead?
If you’d prefer someone you can sit down with, you can meet an agent at an office near you. They can review your options for the next enrollment period, and in some situations help you change plans sooner.
Common questions
Can I switch to a different agent?
Yes. A new agent becomes your agent of record when you enroll in a plan through them, which usually happens during an enrollment period. Ask the new agent how it works for your situation.
Will my old agent be notified?
The insurance company updates the agent of record when you enroll through someone new. You do not need to notify anyone yourself.
